I am glad I’m typing this and not speaking because I honestly don’t know how to pronounce “meme.” However, Barbara over at Blanking On Tuesday wrote a book meme and I am tagging myself.

With the 123 meme, you open the closest book to page 123 and go to the 5th sentence, then post the next 3 sentences. The closest book was Good To Great by Jim Collins, a book Mr. Routine had to read for his Master’s course. Here goes…

“There would be no hiding behind traditional accounting allocations, no slopping funds about to cover up ineffective management, no opportunities for finger-pointing. But the beauty of the Abbott system lay not just in its rigor, but in how it used rigor and discipline to enable creativity and entrepreneurship. ‘Abbot developed a very disciplined organization, but not in a linear way of thinking,” said George Rathmann.’”

Errr… OK.

I’m doing another one because the book right next to Good To Great will, I think, be more fun… it’s from Preconception Plain & Simple: A Deliciously Smart and Sexy Guide in Preparing For Pregnancy! by Audrey Couto McClelland and Sharon K. Couto:

“Sage is not only a soothing shade of green, but it is referenced in writings from both ancient Greece and Rome! Sage scent has forever been used to strenthen the vitality of the brain, and, well… muscles (which can only be helpful for your purposes!).

Known as a plant of Venus, the Goddess of Love, Strawberries invoke both luck and love.”

Hmmmm… I think I’ll head to the supermarket!
